Position Summary

Our Leadership Stage UAE Client  is looking to hire a Human Resources Director in our Dubai office. This associate will promote and implement human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs.  Develop organizations strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.   Enhance departmental and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.  This leadership position draws on the use of HR technical knowledge (Associate Relations, Learning & Development, Compensation Administration, and Organization Development) to coach and educate an HR business operations team to ensure balanced and strategic decisions are made. Additionally, this associate should be recognized as an HR resource and subject matter expert.

Primary Responsibilities

Facilitate and execute the Strategic Capability Planning for the supported business units

  • Responsible for partnering with senior leaders to identify business needs, conduct a capability analysis, align the business strategy to the HR strategy and implement solutions
  • Ensure 100% consistency in HR policies, procedures, practices and standards across business unit(s) while establishing the strategic direction, design and implementation of action plans
  • Identify a clear headcount plan to meet our business requirements and to accommodate expected changes in demand and/or supply
  • Understand the skills and competencies needed in our workforce to achieve our business objectives and create a plan to ensure that profile of talent in the workforce
  • Be a high performance culture activist. Help support and align culture and strategy to support the company vision, mission, and values

Change Management
  • Ensure deep understanding of the purpose and impact of all ongoing change initiatives, both inside and outside of the HR function for themselves, their team and business partners. 
  • Partner with and coach own team and senior leaders on building a change agile organisation that embraces innovation and aspires to constantly evolve. 
  • Ensure outstanding employee and customers experiences as part of the implementation.

Leadership Development
  • Understand the learning and development needs of the organisation and work with our client, Global Talent Development and other internal HR partners to secure and deliver appropriate training and development activities to the organisation. 
  • Ensure the (countries) HR team is deeply proficient in all learning solutions leveraged in the field and can comfortably facilitate training and coaching sessions to achieve maximum business impact. 

Talent & Performance Management
  • Lead and develop a scalable and trusted Field HR team that consults leaders, manager and employees on all performance related issues, including talent &, succession planning, performance reviews, recognition, performance issues, performance improvement and terminations. 
  • Ensure all related processes are deeply aligned to the client company culture as well as in-country labor requirements.

Talent Acquisition and On-boarding
  • Partner with Recruiting, Global Mobility and the various lines of business to assess and optimise talent acquisitions and onboarding strategies and tactics. 
  • Partner with GRT to ensure outstanding on-boarding experiences and efficient acculturation processes for senior leaders, managers and employees across (countries).

Coach and develop senior leaders

  • Regularly interacts with senior leadership and ensures effective and engaged leadership at the top of the organization/SBU, with the necessary skills, competencies, and experiences to guide their teams to success
  • Coach senior leaders to effectively manage performance and effectiveness of their teams
  • Advise senior leaders on people issues by helping to identify root cause and  develop solutions to help meet business needs and ensure fair and equitable treatment of all associates

Drive organizational effectiveness

  • Function as the HR focal point for functional area leaders by participating as a senior member of their client group
  • Provide counseling assistance in organization structure and design to ensure support of the short and long term goals of the organization
  • Ensure the right roles and reporting relationships established in the organization, with an appropriate degree of flexibility to adapt to changing needs
  • Conduct organizational assessments with senior leaders to evaluate structure and resources, assist and facilitate organizational redesigns, assist in communication and change management process

Build people capabilities

  • Engage with senior leaders in supporting the development of high-potential leaders.  Identify those with the potential to assume greater responsibility in the organization and provide critical development experiences to those that can move into key roles
  • Partner with Global Talent Management to identify, communicate and deliver training solutions to address leadership skill gaps. Provide thought leadership and project
  • Support for various talent management initiatives and projects as needed. Facilitate training and development sessions related to assigned programs as needed

Broker with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and the supported business unit

  • Partner with COEs to align business priorities with solutions, programs and processes that put the business needs first
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting processes, headcount management, candidate offers, internship opportunities and recruiting events
  • Partner with Compensation on candidate offers, promotional offers, job evaluations and market competitiveness
  • Partner with Workplace Inclusion & Diversity on inclusive culture design and development of a diverse workforce to drive organizational success

Team Management

  • Build, lead and develop an HR business operations team.  Determine strategic and tactical direction for each functional area in a manner that meets the needs of the business. Stay abreast of and appropriately implement the strategic HR objectives
  • Responsible for the performance management, training and mentoring of team

Basic Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 15+ years of  Strategic Human Resources experience supporting multiple levels of management in a fast-paced work environment with focus on change management, inclusive leadership practices and organizational effectiveness
